Can you believe we’ve been doing this for a year now? Goodness, one year ago, we were nervously making dick jokes over Skype, and now we’re…well, we’re more relaxed about the dick jokes. They just flop right out these days. So to celebrate you guys sticking with us despite our lack of fancy mattress or boxed wine sponsors, we’re throwing a little party! No? Or ok, a giveaway:
Grand Prize:
30 mls of custom-made Snailcast Nightshade, because we can’t put the name that it should be called on here. (Although don’t let that stop you from doing so!) It’s basically Shark Sauce, but with added ceramides, snail mucin, ginseng, and, of course, eggplant ? extract. What does eggplant do? Probably provides antioxidants. That’s not what’s important.
4 vials of fancy pantsy Naruko Essence
A set of 3 snazzy Glossier serums
Other Prizes:
4 other winners will each win a bottle of their own Snailcast Nightshade as well as 2 vials of the Naruko Essence. Still nothing to sneeze at, right?
Rules and terms:
This giveaway is open to Snailcast fans worldwide, who live in a country to which the USPS ships regular mail (99.99% of all countries). Entrants must be 18 years of age or older, or must have the express permission of a parent or legal guardian to enter and receive the prize. Entries will be verified. There will be a total of five prizes and five winners: one winner for the bottle of Snailcast Nightshade, 4 vials of Naruko Essence, 3 Glossier serums, and four winners for each of the four (4) bottles of Snailcast Nightshade and 2 vials of Naruko Essence.. The prize will be marked as a gift and with a low value to help the winner avoid Customs charges, but ultimately any Customs charges or taxes charged by the winner’s home country are not the responsibility of the Snailcast or Holy Snails. The Snailcast and Holy Snails are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen prizes. I will notify the winner within 24 hours of the contest close. The prize winners will have 36 hours to contact me with their mailing addresses. If any of the winners do not contact me within 36 hours, the winning entry is void and I will draw another winner. This giveaway is void where prohibited.

I have so many favorites from your podcasts that I usually listen to every night while doing skincare.. one of the best was ep19: Skincare Techniques. Why? Because I’ve tried all of them haha, and believe me, my scalp and hair can’t thank you guys enough for improving from that nasty flaking ?.. that “grit method” was immensely satisfying every single time and double fisting sheetmasks every other day is just fun to do. ? And yes, I’ve just also followed the advice to wear it at the end before I apply my sleeping mask, cutting them in half made a lot of sense since almost all of the sheet masks are too big for my face. I can go on and on about how listening to the snailcast changed the way I take care of my extremely oily, trouble prone skin.. Always looking forward to your next uploads Fiddy, Chel, Snow and Tracy! Congratulations on your anniversary! ?
Leo says
Definitely a standout moment is the episode where y’all discussed the “diving” technique and we got live reactions of people watching it for the first time. And any airhorn moments of course. 😀
LT says
Thanks for the giveaway! And cheers for a great new year of the snail cast!
Denise Bengzon says
The very first episode I listened to was Ep19 on skincare techniques and it got me completely hooked on the SnailCast! It’s also my favorite–I’ve listened to it at least thrice because I lovelovelove all the tips in there and inspires me to use up all my sheet masks! Please tell Fiddy I completely blame her for my current obsession with BHA–my bottle of Blackhead Power just arrived yesterday and it’s just killing me that the clay mask hasn’t arrived yet. Managed to get some grits out with just the BHA and oil cleanser though so yay!
Vaishnavi C says
My favorite episode was Ep19: Skincare techniques because I learned so much like the grit technique and all of your tips has really, really helped me in my skincare journey. Congrats on the anniversary and I can’t wait for more to come! <3
Tessa Katen says
I loved the ep on subscription boxes. They’re kind of how I got into makeup/skincare (and wasted a lot of money). I think I have finally kicked the habit, including AB boxes, and learned to buy things I anticipate will work for me instead. I still have too many products but none of them are mystery box duds I’m disappointed in.
Libby c says
I don’t have a favorite episode because all the episodes are favs, as cliched as that sounds, but I will admit I am quite fond of the latest episode (26) for I’m a fan of exo myself and I never imagined the day I would hear about kbeauty and my kfandom collide! That and I also adore Shinee to bits and love TVXQ so it was multiple fandoms clashing!
Thanks for all that you guys have do & continue to do in terms of education and spreading information about kbeauty and kskincare!
Elizabeth Tweed says
Dick jokes and obsessing about skin care are my love language. Happy anniversary, you guys!
I think my favorite episode was the one about subscription boxes where Snow and Tracy basically devolved into hysterical laughter about dicks for significantly longer than usual. But I also liked the one where I found out that Snow was also probably a member of the same long hair community that I was.
Cecilia says
My favorite episode is Skincare Techniques. As a newcomer to the k-beauty game, that episode was enlightening. My pores have never been so clean! My next favorite is Special Event Skincare. I’ve been known for trying too hard just before going out, leaving my skin a sensitive mess that needed to be covered with more makeup than usual.
Happy anniversary and thanks for the knowledge, the laughs and the snails!

Happy new year and happy birthday to the snail unit ! My favorite episode would probably be the 17 about the acids because I found chemical exfoliation so intimidating before and this episode really helped me getting more familiar with them and finally to start using BHA. Of course I did a lot of research and read the articles written on your blogs but the podcast kind of sums up the essential information so it was very useful. But overall I enjoy a lot listening to the Snailcast and you can’t imagine how it relaxes me and help me to change my mind when I’m feeling down or stressed out.
I hope you’ll continue doing podcasts because I learned so much and I don’t know any other emission like this one !
Emily Pham says
My favorite episode is the “regret” one and follow by “price and body bag”. These two were so much fun to listen to. I cracked up so hard at etude house make up palette as pigmented and good. it’s such light heart episode but it hit too close to home. I have a lot of regret for AB skin care too. I too bought the whole Laneige line because i though it would work better with the whole line. Oh boy, little did i know. i listen you guys every morning while driving to work. I listen to some episode twice just because it’s more fun than the real radio 😀
Gina Rhodes says
My favorite episode was the Kpop and Kbeauty one, because I learned a lot of stuff that I haven’t picked up from your blogs. I’ve also increased my Exo listening habits since then, which is always good!
Erin J. says
Thanks so much for offering this giveaway! You guys are all a lot of fun, and I always walk away having learned something new (or laughed my ass off, which is just as important!).
Minh Khue says
Wow it’s been a year already? Time does flies so fast.
Thank you all so much for many useful tips in those podcasts and for the generous giveaway.
Here’s to another hydrating, glowy and blemish-free year to all of you *raises glass* 🙂
Nilay Holloway says
Thank you so much for the giveaway! I love snails and korean beauty, and so happy to have a chance to win these products!
Jana says
A very upbeat episode! Just curious, what’s wrong with styleKorean? I didn’t know they had any bad history and have shopped there without any glitches or complaints recently. Should I avoid them in the future? ~~~ As for the podcast in general, I enjoy it a lot, have heard all the episodes, I think. You guys help a lot to navigate the billions of Korean brands and products out there! Thanks!
chinamarker says
Love the motherhood episode. Not yet a mother, but my husband and I have been trying, and changing up my skincare was a major concern. It’s not often that you hear about k-beauty and suitable cosmetics, since it’s not really something people think about.
Beauty Bangbang says
Happy Anniversary!
Nina says
If I had to dick one episode as my favorite it would be EP:20 CHAOS AND DICKS! When I first discovered the Snailcast podcast I literally scrolled past this post because I was like, i’m here for AB skincare, not chaos and dicks haha. Turns out I was wrong. I really enjoyed listening to beauty world scandals and round-up. I love the shade, I love the drama, and I love the chaos…and the dicks.
I had an “aha moment” when you all talked about new advertising techniques geared towards millennials who hate ads (hello, its me).
Related to other episodes: i’ve noticed the Snailcasters sometimes try to avoid naming names, but I find it really helpful when you gals demystify beauty trends, products, brands and websites.
Totally unrelated but, are any of you (the Snailcasters) Drag Race fans? I feel like Tracy might be, for some reason.
YR says
The motherhood episode got me; peeps I can relate to 🙂
Victoria CHoo says
How exciting! I can’t wait for more episodes this year!
Taylor Sliker says
I liked the Reaction Roundtable episode, was very interested to hear your takes on parabens and all the hype about preservative free products!
Anna says
I loved the ep 12 about self-care! This is such an important topic, especially when skincare is considered a “silly” hobby. And this silly hobby has helped so many of us find peace, appreciate our bodies and faces for what they are and learn to love ourselves. This may sound like a first world problem, but body image is still a big issue among women.
Lisa says
I have a really hard time picking a favorite. I find something useful or uplifting or funny or touching in all of them! I did find the most recent episode, on how to motivate yourself to be very timely, so I’ll say that is my current favorite. In the deep dark cold winter it’s hard for me to do much. If you ever need input from someone with actually “mature” skin let me know! I turn 50 this year and it’s VERY different than when I was in my 30s and early to mid 40s.
Minna says
I enjoy every episode for the rapport y’all have with eachother, but I’ve listened to “All About That Acid” multiple times to glean all the useful info. Thanks for all your collective years of research and blogging, and for the last year of letting us all in on the epic chat sessions!
Sarah speelman says
I LOVE episode 19. I’m new to this and I’m working through all the techniques 🙂
Michelle says
Hello, first of all, thank you for holding a giveaway. The episode on self-care, episode 25, is one of my favorite episodes. You guys explained major points as to why all of this is so important to me in such a understandable and fun way. I am not the best at explaining things, and you guys have just put all of my thoughts into words. I also loved hearing you guy’s experiences and anecdotes. In the end of the day, this is our way to take care of ourselves, both physically and mentally. And that resonated with me as I also have mood disorders. Asian beauty has changed the way I think about my skin and myself for the better. I actually look forward to my skin care routine now! I want to thank you for this podcast and for your individual blogs.

I love the doublefisting technique for sheet masks and really rinsing off my low pH cleanser has made my skin so very very happy. I’ve signed up for Curology and I’m anxiously awaiting my first bottle. I’ve been really thoroughly moisturizing and hydrating my skin to get it prepped for tret.
My BF benefitted from Fiddy’s pore clearing technique. I’ve never seen so many damned grits in my life.
Aneta says
Skincare techniques! Useful for anyone, AB fans or not! Cheers for the giveaway! ?
Tracy says
Picking a favorite episode is incredibly difficult because I’ve loved them all. Some of my favorites included the episode with Coco (where she talked about grooming her husband like a monkey) and the desert island episode (because all the intelligent rationale you used to pick your products cracked me up). Ladies, you light up my world and fill it with laughter and wisdom. Thank you for the being there for me in this vast world of AB. You are all well loved and deeply appreciated. Bravo!
Kayte CookWatts says
Stash intervention– I am a hoarder of Naruko sheet masks.
Cianelle Maala says
Episode 23. It’s so hilarious with Cat and Tracy ??? it’s the best one just cause of the laughs
Wina says
Thanks for giveaway
Amanda says
I am soooo excited. My fave episode is the one where you guys discover the serum that turns a man into a towel rack…
Claire Phillips says
Oh boy, picking a favorite episode is so difficult! I love every episode that has real talk though.
Beata Ory says
I loved all of them. My favourite is the one among the first ones where you talk about Kbeauty misses, like the 92% aloe vera gelburning the face like hell and realizing afterwards that it was due to a lot of alcohol contents. Why do I remember it so well? Sadly it happened to me as well. My other fav. is the skincare techniques.
Narcisa says
Thank you for the giveaway! I can’t believe that it has been a year already! I love your podcast and been listening it from the very beginning. Kisses from Bosnia! 🙂
Angélique Roux says
I loved the skincare techniques episode – I literally sat with a pen and paper, pausing occasionally to take notes. Because AB is a little tricky to get in my country, I really love the episodes that give routine-enhancing tips like those. As well as how to use product types (like sheetmasking after serums and oils, and little tips like that). Aside from that, I enjoy every episode, because jokes, easy to understand & in detail without being lame SKINCARE TALK ALL THE WAY (much better than the Beauty Brains podcast imo), and airhorns. And awkward moments. *shows thumbs up and nods slowly, grinning* XD Love you guys and thank you for this giveaway opportunity!
Cathleen says
Favorite episode is 17: All about that acid! I would’ve never started using acids without you guys and reddit! Thank you for improving my skin!!
Jules says
Ladies!
I have not listened to all of the episodes, yet, but No.1 is my favourite so far, because you started something awesome! Congratulations! Plus I got to know you better. Finding the snailcast concluded the “diving (!) into K-Beauty”-Project for me in December 2016. I felt a wave of relief, finding all your opinions becoming a team effort on the Snailcast.
Since Christmas I have ordered my Kbeauty starter kit and the first few things have arrived yesterday. Maybe they are cliché BUT my babies are:
– Joseon Beauty Cream
– Mizon Snail Recovery Cream Gel (duh!)
– Purebess Eye Cream
– I’m From Honey Mask
– COSRX AHA/BHA Toner+Blackhead lotion+Whitehead lotion+Good morning cleanser+oil free moisturizer
– Hada Labo Hyaluronic Lotion
– Hada Labo Cleansing Oil
– LJH Tea tree 90 Essence
So I am slowly getting used to the items one by one. I have bitchy acne prone skin which is also very dry at the moment. Also: new black- and white heads.
Even though my skin is better since I have started using Cliniques Anti Blemish as well as Moisture Surge line inkl. their Overnight mask, I knew that I still cover up with makeup (especially in the winter time) where I should rather be celebrating healed skin. Hopefully KBeauty (and more sleep as well as lots of tea) will help me achieve that.
In addition to my new regime I can recommend pure green clay in order to make a cleansing mask. I am about to figure out how to use white clay (Kaolin) next.
All the best / Jules

I genuinely have enjoyed all the episodes, but as a blogger myself I particularly liked the early ones where you talked about the business of kbeauty blogging.
Haley says
It’s a toss up between the skincare techniques one and the most recent one. The skincare techniques one was so helpful and it was great to hear about the similarities and differences of your routines. The K-pop fan unit episode was just pure amazingness.
Kris says
My favorite episode was All About That Acid – while skincare doesn’t give fast results, acids definitely speed it all up, and this episode was very informative!
Stephanie says
Ep 25- self care has become important to me so it resonated!
Jenn Jue says
Episode 17 – skincare routines/techniques was my favorite and really helpful!!
Emily S says
I tried commenting from my phone, but it wouldn’t let me, and I would never lie about commenting for an extra entry! My favorite episode was the one about beauty blogging and $$$$. It was so interesting to understand how much money was really in the blogging game, and how to tell who was getting kickback for their endorsements vs who is making honest assessments based on what they like. It was also really interesting to hear from each of you where your personal boundaries were in terms of working with sponsors, and how you came to define those boundaries. Love everything y’all are doing, and I’m excited to see more episodes coming soon (I burned through the first year’s worth of episodes in a week!). Scoot scoot!
Erin Phamvan says
All of the episodes have been great, but all about that acid, the tretpisode, and the 3 products you’d bring to a deserted island were some of my favorites!
Meg Walker says
My favorite episode was the one about skincare techniques. I can’t buy tons and tons of new products, but I can refine the way I use them for better effects!
Chelsea Robbins says
The Tret-pisode is speaking to me right now as I just went on tret and the struggle is real. No ragrets, but this dry winter air + tret has had me revisiting that podcast the past few days for tips. All About that Acid was so informative and engaging, too! Oh and the #Ragrets episode is one I listen to on planes so I can laugh like a psycho in my seat and freak out fellow passengers. I love you guys! You teach me so much and thoroughly entertain at the same time. Big thumbs up to you guys. Keep up the good work and keep the episodes coming!
Melanie says
Favorite episodes would be on stash interventions, followed by the regrets one. I think I have a problem!
@laurantaina says
I loved the early episodes as well as the self care episode by the sub-unit! Self care is so important, I hope you’ll sneak in some product favorites in the future as well.
Bonnie Anne says
Just one episode of the Snailcast?!? They’re all terrific! I love the way you collaborate, your candor re: depression and skincare as self-care, and how supportive and funny and smart you all are. The information about the order in which products are applied (BHA before AHA was a HUGE help!) and how to tackle “the shell” were especially appreciated.
Michelle says
Thanks for a giveaway! I’m a fan of the techniques episode, really helpful to hear.
Ivana says
My favourite episode is episode 19 since it helped turn my skin around (from go to bed crying, PCOS skin to …good most of the time skin). Between you and Caroline Hurons I never have any money and I love it!
Hanamizu says
One of my favorites was ep 17 about acids, as I learned a LOT from this! It’s usually one of the more complicated/confusing aspects about skincare – so it was really helpful-
brokeskincareaddict says
Honestly I love every single episode, if I had to choose a favourite it would probably be #RAGRETS (ep. 15) for the LOLs, Prices and Body Bags (ep. 16) for the shade, or Self-Care and Snailiversary (ep. 25) because I struggle with mental illness and AB has helped with this for a number of reasons.
Tiffany says
Too hard to pick just one, loved them all!
Holly says
Thanks so much for doing this, you guys!
esther says
i thought i left a comment, but i guess it didnt work. i loved the all about acids episode. i listened while running and laughed out loud a few times. it was both entertaining to learn about what aha and bhas are for, the dos and do nots and what your go tos were! love the snailcast and your blogs?
KathrynGrant says
The episode about Acids!!
Mary Le says
It is very difficult to narrow down one episode as my favorite. The skincare techniques, the tretpisode, and all about acids episodes were especially helpful with issues my skin is dealing with now and the interview with Coco Park, #Ragrets and Kpop fan girl episodes made me laugh out loud!
Crystal Kern says
I found your podcast a few months ago and quickly listed to all of the ones available on iTunes. The podcast inspired me to start on a kbeauty routine, get a Curology prescription and start wearing sunscreen every day. I have started to notice such a difference in my skin, it’s also made me realize something else. I was in a depression rut and I didn’t realize it at the time. So right now my favorite episode is 25 on skincare as self care because I can relate to that. Thank you for taking the time to create this podcast, it is introducing me to a whole new community.
whit says
the podcast about acids is actually how I stumbled upon this blog, it gave me the confidence I needed to take the plunge into the murky waters of AHA/BHA chemical exfoliation so thank you ladies! and happy anniversary! ??
Diane says
Skincare techniques! It’s what got me started down this rabbit hole.
Emily Brauen says
I feel like this might be a common favourite, but honestly bless your episode about acids. I first encountered it very early in my AB journey and it helped turn what was the most intimidating part of the whole experiencing into what is easily the most beneficial part of my skincare routine.
Morgane says
Hi, I’m a newcomer to your blog and I’m excited to start listening to the post cast! Always in need of new suggestions and reviews.
Myra says
My favorite episode was the one about acids — as someone who has always been too intimidated to try them, the episode clarified a lot for me!
Emily says
OK, I’m gonna be honest and just say right out that if the nightshade thing is for sale, I’m probably going to buy it at some point (even though I just got my latest order of Snowbang and Holy Snail water in yesterday). And I still kind of wish you’d kept the original name of Snowbang… because if you can’t take a (dick) joke, you shouldn’t be allowed its fabulousness.
Camilla says
I loved the episode about Kbeauty during pregnancy! So much I related to in that post!
Ruth says
The routines and also the acids podcasts were great, especially since ive been trying to be more careful about preventing overexfoliation!
Mia Richmond says
The Stash Organization episode! I’m always very intrigued to see how others do it!
Sonja says
Ep 19, Skincare Techniques — absolutely my favorite because apparently I was doing everything wrong lol and now I’ve been saved!!!
Caitlyn says
I really like all the episodes but episode 14 on skincare boners really sticks out to me. Besides it being really funny I found it interesting to hear what keeps each of your interests after the exciting honeymoon period of discovering all the things.

Ep 19, Skincare Techniques! It was really interesting listening to all the unique tips you guys use, for skin or other parts of the body, and I learned a lot of things I could incorporate into my own routines haha

I just found your podcast and got immediately hooked! I would say my favorite episode so far has been balancing skincare in the wake of parenting. I don’t have kids, but remembering that even busy moms can get their routines in certainly gets me the heck off the couch!
Anna Z says
My favorite episode is 22: Stash Intervention & Seasonal Skincare.
Helene says
Thanks for all your hard work in putting together the podcast! Skincare techniques sucked me in but I have listened to all the episodes and some multiple times. I’m turning 43 in a week and get compliments on my complexion at least weekly. God I’m getting old! Does anyone even still call it a complexion??? Thanks again.
Kylie Wilcox says
Hard to pick a favorite! One of my early faves was the one on blogging/paid posts ethics, but I also loved the acids episode and the one where Coco from Beauty Wolf visited.

This is amazing I love Holy Snails – Snowbang and Shark Sauce have legit healed my skin.

Shannan Buchholz says
i don’t have an absolute favorite episode, but i love when you guys focus on one topic (like acids, or cushions) and really explore what it means and options out there, as well as the ups and downs of what you’ve tried.
Keklokito says
I really liked Episode 19: Skincare Techniques. Probably because you spoke about grits and I love to hear about those x)
Adri says
I appreciated the episode where y’all discussed the ways you trick yourself into your skincare routine when you are feeling tired/down/depressed. I can relate!! And now I’ve adopted some of your sneaky moves.
Miranda says
I’ve only listened to the first few podcasts so far (I love listening to them during my daily commute) so I can’t choose a favorite episode just yet. I did enjoy the episodes with guests like Coco and Kerry though! And of course I love it when you do longer episodes!
Laura says
My favorite was when you answered fan questions – and picked mine to answer!! Also I always love when you go through what you are using and loving now.

A lot of favorites, mostly from the info and insight you give on things not touched on in American skin care (wait times for example).

I love the All About Acids episode. Since adding acids to my skincare routine, my skin’s never been better. I also appreciate your discussions on using skincare to help with overall mental well being.

The Acids episode.

I just moved to South Korea with my husband and figured now is as good a time as any to delve into the world of K-Beauty! My first purchases were from the Skinfood counter in E-Mart. It was hard to resist buying everything they had. The packaging and product names are so appealing! I knew I needed to do a lot of research before I went completely off the deep end.
After stalking the internet, I found some very helpful product reviews and routine advice from Sokoglam. They frequently mentioned the blog Fifty Shades of Snails so I headed there next. And stayed there. For hours. Maybe even days. Oh, if only my poor teenage self had know even a fraction of what I’ve recently learned. It would have saved me years of angry, abused skin and self loathing.
Long story short(ened), I learned about the snail cast after pouring over Fiddy’s blog. Luckily, podcasts are something I can listen to while doing other productive things around the house.
My favorite so far is episode 19. I really appreciate the grit removing advice. We are going to Seoul this weekend so I’ll definitely be picking up the three necessary products. I also really, really liked the episode that discussed parabens.
